“And it’s PERFECT, because it doesn’t involve as much of those messy emotions.”

Kim, on her idea of using progress reports to evaluate one’s relationship

Instrument pickup. Realization that

A) I need to play a lighter, more feminine instrument
and
B) Or I need like, an instrument sherpa. (Incredibly tolerant boyfriend will do just fine in most situations. Any takers? =P)

Sat around the music room for far too long with Sunjay and ‘Drew because I didn’t want to actually leave and bring the instruments home on the bus. Went to Long & McQuade, inquired on prices for bass rental (AGH $35/month). Came home, started cleaning room. I gave up and took a nap. I’ve realised that I’m going to be practising for 5 out of my 16 approximated waking hours (1.5 on bass, contrabass and bassoon+half an hour on voice) in July, but I might scale it back to 1 each for this month and then 1.5 in August or something. I dunno, we’ll see how that rolls.

This is also a public invitation to chill with yours truly this summer (as long as I like, know you ‘n stuff.) Call or message me, y’know where to reach me.

Picnic tomorrow, Canada day Saturday… Some form of something Monday… And on it goes. Cool. It’s summer. And I have internet school. I wonder what I have to do for that.

Later, kids!
(later tonight I will post my list of things I’m going to do this summer)

- Kim, on the purpose of glow-in-the-dark condoms.

Wow. What a way to start the summer. Got my transcript for applying for eClass…. I don’t even need to go get my report card, as I have my marks. But there is the picnic on Thursday, so I suppose I’ll go in.

I’ve been so bored lately. I’ve begun to clean my room. It’s still utterly vile, but gradually getting less so. I think. I hope.

OH MAN, GUYS IT’S SUMMER. It still hasnt’ sunk in yet. It probably will at the picnic, because that’s like official-ness. The first summer party-type thing dealy not counting the thing on Thursday. Which didn’t count. B’cos it was lame (I’m sorry, but it was.)

So what have I got planned? Lots of stuff. But I’m going through my events in sections, therefore:

Tuesday (Tomorrow!) (Actually, today): Ambush The Boy after his exam. Maybe see a movie or something.
Thursday: PICNIC BITCHES, if you want to go, meet in the music hall at 12:25. Morningside Park. Should be some fun biscuits.
Saturday (Canada Day!): AGO, other activities, and fireworks with big bunch ‘o kids. You know who you are.

And that’s it so far. In the slightly less near future is a ROAD TRIP, several parties, rollerblading, and at least one day of doing absolutely nothing. I’m excited.

Also tired, so I shall go to bed now.

“This is BALLS.”

Kim, referring to the CD textbook in her 11th hour of studying And the 10th, and the 9th.

Yeah, so I went out the night before the exam. Might be silly, but considering that I moved my room UNDER A ROCK so that I could pretty much study my fuckin’ brains out, and that my darling girl Tacha was leaving for camp, like…yeah. I sort of deserved a break. And I was reviewing in my brain, and I didn’t say for the movie. But let’s do some number crunching:

Number of times Kim’s vowed to lay off the caffiene as a study aid: 17
Number of cans of various bastardly, caffeine-laden energy drinks consumed: Unknown. The cans lining my desk can be attributed to the TYCW yearbook as well.
Number of diabolical plots to steal boyfriend’s caffeine pills: 5
Number of attempts to carry out plot: 0, as have not seen th’boy in about 2 weeks.
Number of vows to clean up room, turn life around after the biology exam, seeing the summer as a “fresh start to a fresh outlook on life”: 1. But it’s an honest one.
Pages of notes for Biology: 11 (at least. 10-pt, single-spaced)
Pages of notes for Anthro: Um, none.
Number of Mikes who have “complimented” me on my efforts to become more feminine and graceful and garbage: All four of them =\
Number of people blatantly and obviously looking down my (not slutty!) shirt at Yorkdale: Like, 12! What the heck, did the Weapons of Mass Distraction suddenly gain power or something? I didn’t even get free stuff (except for magnets.) But the guy at the Rainforest Cafe was ridiculous.
Number of “mid-teen crises” incurred between the middle of last week and now: ‘Bout a million.

Yeah. It’s been a little crazy. On the up side, I’ve lost six pounds. (BITCHES!) Apparently worrying burns calories. Unless I burned out my ENTIRE BRAIN and so now I’m stupid and will fail anyway.

Score: Exams, 0. Kim: 1. Game 1 of 2.

Leave comments telling me you love me and wishing me good luck, for I am off to battle Biologor. (I can’t make up villain names this early in the morning.)

EVENTS:
Today: Exam, chilling at Heather’s
Saturday (tomorrow): TYCW party
Sunday: Pride Parade
Tuesday: Th’Boy finishes exams. AKA, he’s getting jumped at the subway
Thursday: PICNIC. If you can read this and go to Woburn or are affiliated with Woburn or know me, yo’ ass is invited. Meeting at the school, or else call my cell.
The following Saturday: FIREWORKS. The same applies, except details have yet to be worked out.

Anyway, I must fly, for I am tired and feel disgusting (caffeine and waking up at 5:30 do that to a girl). I require several cold showers in order to wake up properly.

Ciao, lovelies!

Holy lack of entries, Batman!

Wow, I haven’t said anything in a while. I’m sure all of you are wondering what I’ve been up to. Well then! Here’s a brief recap:

- May 17th-22nd: Went to Orlando, Florida for five days with Woburn Music. Much fun, many new friendships made or deepened, many silly codenames created. Many Jeanie awards given out.
-May 26th: Music Banquet: Ridiculous amounts of fun, got to see everyone all prettied up, realized that a crapload of people I know and actually care quite a lot about are growing up and going away. When did we all get so old? Centrepeice stuff was hilarious, as was the failure candy, as were my 5-inch platforms, for which I required Louis as an escort the whole evening. Certain boys were placing bets on how long I’d last in the shoes before I gave up and took them off. “blemish”=”beauty mark”. The need to remove my shoes resulted in the most AWKWARD FOUR MINUTES OF MY LIFE. Accidentally sacked a good friend of mine.
(Things that came up between the last entry and now: Various boy dilemmas, Kim losing her mind, too much work, etc etc.)
-June 3rd: Party. GETTING THE STROBE LIGHT (”TURN LEFT, TURN LEFT! NO! YOU PASSED IT! AAAAH!”)
-June 4th, which relates to the most AWKWARD FOUR MINUTES OF MY LIFE and certain centrepiece things and the massive pot of KD and the Cool Whip.

The rest has been a bit blurry.
What’s coming up?

- June 20th-23rd: Inventory, EXAMS
- June 22nd: Dinner and Movie with Tacha and Friends
-June 24th: TYCW party?
- July 1st: Fireworks
