What a weekend.

Shall we start with Thursday?

Thursday was the Spring Concert and Random Acts of Art. We didn’t get a nifty name. Or posters. But we DID get EXCELLENT MUSICIANS. Mad props to Angelina, May, the Emilies, Chamber Choir, Wind Ensemble, and pretty much everyone. Because all y’all are awesome. Freedom trilogy went very, VERY well. (Lukas was a complete MONSTER on his solo, I mean this in a good way)… The Requiem went quite well as well, aside from people clapping. In the middle. Of EVERY SINGLE MOVEMENT. All in all quite a good concert. Junior Jazz may not have been stellar, but we all had fun, darnit! *dances with the bass*

Moving right along to THURSDAY, the final concert with TYCW for the year. Also, Alumni band. Umm… Yes. Alumni band. Which I am in, because they lack bassoon power. And.. y’know…mad skillz. Symphonic Metamorphasis is now my new favourite thing in the world. Met an incredibly, INCREDIBLY attractive percussionist who goes to Queen’s, of all places! Saw Sophie Z., looking just as fab as ever. Strange and ridiculous running around. My Humps. MAD CRAZY DRAMA. Concert went SWIMMINGLY, with me being my lovely, charming self in order to get Mike’s mommy to let him go to the party. This was after I’d changed in the holding room because there was a lineup to the ladies’. Yeah. Oh well. Mike’s mommy was cool with it, and off we went to the HOOD. (Scarborough.) Good times at the party, Heather’s dog is the devil. Saw people I hadn’t seen in AGES. Unfortunately, during the second half of the concert, after Mike and I had left… Two people had their flutes stolen, and someone had her wallet taken. (I’d like to interject with how utterly disgusted I am with people these days.) But, not knowing this, we partied on into the wee hours of the morning. Then slept until the wee hours of the afternoon. Then missioned it to St. John’s Music, where I FINALLY found Song Without Words and also got two nifty picks. That was Saturday.

Sunday was the recording. All went quite nifty, the picnic afterwards was some ridiculous stuff. What with the squirrel chasing and the popsicle-giving-to-strangers and the shopping cart “finding” and “adopting” (Leonard Charles Bobby Orwell is currently sitting in my garage.) and… all sorts of fun stuff. Sure, there was akwardness (those who know what I’m talking about know what I’m talking about.), but it was still good times.

Monday was a drag. Surprise conducting, pig dissections, LUNCH, slept through anthro, quiz. ORLANDO BAND.

I wonder what fun surprises this week will hold? OH LAWDY BELLRINGER FRIDAY. Maybe I should ask to do the dry one.
